About the piece
Eight phases, one full moon, and the water that follows them.
Before there were clocks at sea there was the moon. It set the tides, the tides set the sailing, and a navigator who could read the phases knew when the harbour would let him in. The Moon Tide puts all of that on one face: a cratered full moon at the center, the eight phases around it, and the water underneath. The silver is oxidised to a deep grey so the moon sits in a dark sky, then every high point is brought back to a mirror by hand.

Which metal is it, exactly?
Solid bronze core, heavy sterling silver plate. The core is solid bronze, the layer on top is real silver, and we say so because a plated piece should be bought for the work, not by the ounce.
How is it numbered?
Each piece carries its number on the edge, 001 to 500, struck in packing order. 138 remain. The number on the certificate matches the edge.
What comes in the box?

Will the finish change?
The mirror high points can dull if the piece sits in open air for months. The cloth in the box brings them back in a minute. Never use silver dip: it lifts the dark field.
